Repost of message from Steve Wynveen:
Registration for the private Thursday Test & Tune is now open, available from the Milwaukee Region SCCA registration site: http://register.scca-milwaukee.org/ (http://sccaforums.com/linkthru.aspx?url=http%3a%2f%2fregister.scca-milwaukee.org%2f)
The intended schedule looks like this:
- run 9 AM to 4:30 PM, one 1.5 hr work assignment
- 45 person hard cap, pre-reg only (absolutely no on-site registration the day of)
- will fill with annual members first, if there is room left (unlikely) then weekend members
- two courses, each about 28 sec long. The East (right) will be the usual, I plan to tweak the West (left) course to flow a bit better, just a tick faster, and make the far sweeper a left hander to help even tire wear and give the opportunity to run a big sweeper clockwise or counterclockwise.
- $60 entry fee per driver
There will be no refunds if you register and then change your mind. If you can find someone to take your place and pay you for the spot, that is between you and your replacement.
Thanks,
Steve

Anyone know how to renew your SCCA membership on-line? I'm trying to sign-up for the TNT, but my membership expires 2 days before the event and I can't find the "renew" portion on the SCCA website!

Steve,
Do you know if the "annual member" requirement is in reference to being an SCCA member or a Milwaukee Region member.
If it's the latter then I'm SOL.

I assume it just refers to SCCA membership, regardless of region. I don't remember Milwaukee region SCCA ever requiring region-specific membership for anything before except year-end trophies.

I concur, considering that they are contrasting "annual member" to "weekend member".

Steve (J),
I'm with the others, I'm betting it's the SCCA membership.
I just spent 20 minutes gettign everything straight, and I can tell you, if there is something funky, you'll get a message to that effect.
I say "Give it a shot", see what happens. If you don't try it soon, you may really be SOL.....
Tempting... but we'll probably just stick with doing the Friday TnT.

Ditto. A real EVO school would totally be worth an extra day off work and in a hotel, but when we have a TnT day friday... umm... ?

Keep in mind the TNT Friday isn't free.. it's something like $2.50 per run. But then again, if you pretend it's a regular event, $2.50 per run is pretty darn reasonable!

You'll get waaaaay more runs on Thursday...basically melt away a set of tires, plus two separate courses, one fast and one mid/slow. I think I made 40+ runs last year at our private TnT, and took a break during the day because I was getting to the point I wasn't thinking straight. At most, there'll be 2-3 cars in line to get on a course, not 20-30.
I honestly get 5x more dialed and accomplished at a limited attendance TnT than the Friday tour TnT.
Finally, you can be an annual member of any region. I'll try to answer any other questions, but I gotta run and catch a plane back to Atlanta.

Sounds like a great way to get a bunch of seat time before the tour. We are "ahead of schedule" in the tire melting department this year though.
Good luck in Atlanta.

WAI has a T&T at Miller park on June 28th. No need to be a WAI member. I'll be there...

I was hoping to attend that one too. How do I register for it? Is there an entry cap?

WAI is using the Axware online registraiton system this year.

Their entry limits are high for most event, so you can usually just show up. However, it's probably a different story for a TnT.

Yep, found that on their website. The TnT is not listed in the registration system.
Bumpity! Anyone know of additional details?

What further details do you need? Show up, drive all you want on two short courses, except for a 1.5 hour work session. Pretty simple & laid-back.

p.s. Last time I checked, there was only 1 remaining opening, so I doubt they'll be taking walk-up registrations.
We're leaving Thursday morning verrrrry early. Wanted to know what time check in and tech are. Would like to get there as late as possible. Heck, I'd be fine with getting there at 10am.
But I don't want them to give our spots away.
So was looking for the usual pre-run times and info.

You'll need to contact Steve Wynveen, to see if you can arrive late. The event itself starts at 9:00 AM, so registration probably opens at 7:30 or 8:00. Steve has the user ID "Windscreen" on this forum and SCCAforums, so you can email him through either forum.
