Reminder: Eau Claire event coming up

Just a friendly reminder, the CVSCC's Eau Claire autox is coming up on 6/8/08. Registration is open now, with a limit of 100 entrants. So far there are only 13 registered, so there's still lots of room left. This is a Met-Council Points Series event.

Do we know if this event will be at the truck driving area or the parking lot yet? I know it was discussed, but can't remember what the final decision was.

I'll be there either way- I like both sites.

I thought I just saw an aerial image somewhere (here?) that said it would be on the driving course.

The June 8th event will be held at the parking lot of the driving range on the West Campus of CVTC. We have decided not to use the driving range itself, due to some safety concerns. The lot we will be using is approximately 25% larger than Midway, and we'll be able to make it feel even larger by using the access roads for start & finish. I think we'll have enough room to come up with an interesting course.

Still only 47 drivers registered. This is an easy drive from the Twin Cities, and you'll get lots of runs. There's still time to register!

I'm actually driving the night before, priceline's got obscenely cheap rooms in eau claire. $30 to not have to wake up at 5 am? Awesome.

10:30 AM Drivers' Meeting
11:00 AM First timed runs

In the past, we've met at McD in Hudson. Cty Road F exit, then two rights. There's gas to be had (both you and the car).

Usually we meet around 7 AM and leave there about 7:30.
