Bummed I had to miss it. I just got back last night from a 7 hr drive home from where I was, and aside from Mrs. Me having some plans for dinner and the rest of the evening, I just didn't feel up for another 4 hrs of driving. So, what was discussed, and how did things go?

The next meeting of the Minnesota Autosports Club
will be
Wednesday, November 19, 2003
at
Parrish's Supper Club, 2176 West 7th Street, St. Paul, MN at 7:30 p.m.

Bench-racing usually starts at 7:00, meeting from 7:30 to 9:00 or so, then more bench-racing.

This meeting is NOT on the last Wednesday as usual, but on the THIRD Wednesday to move it away from Thanksgiving.

This November meeting will feature election of officers and board-members-at-large. Nominations will remain open until the election. Anyone who is a member for 2003 is eligible to vote. Memberships for 2004 begin January 1.

This is the last meeting of 2003, as we do not have a meeting in January. I believe the next scheduled get-together for MAC will be the party on Friday, January 9 at the community "barn" at The Preserve on Anderson Lakes Parkway.

One of the last items on last night's agenda, was to nominate people for officer and member at large positions.

It is important to note, you can add [nominate] your name or that of a friend at the next meeting on November 19.
At this point, here are the names put into nomination;
President; Dwight McCullough
Vice president; Jeremy Engel
Editor/publisher; Jon McCullough
Secretary; Dave kral
Treasurer; Paul Weidner
And member's at large, which have to be filled at the rate of 1 board member for every 25 members. Which at this time we have 125 or so members. So at a maximum of 6 members at large.

The following names have been nominated;
Nikki ? [sorry], Keith Buemer, Steve Garnjobst, Lee Frisvold, Josh Berman, Matt, ? [sorry], Alex Lowe, and Brian Heggestad.

Phil is correct, the next meeting is November 19.

December, no meeting.

January 9th, Party. Yep, that's a Friday.

If I understand correctly, the only officer positions defined in the MAC Bylaws are President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer, right? So, I assume Jon was nominated for one of the At-Large positions?

At the meeting, I thought it was decided there were only enough members to support 5 At-Large positions, which my math seems to agree with (125/25=5). Not that I want to decrease the odds of myself or anyone else getting elected, but what am I missing?

On a related note, How will the At-Large members be selected?
