I'm suppossed to work that day!:sarc I'm going to try to switch days with someone, so it is still a possibility. My cousin Pete is suppossed to come down from the cities with his "new" 1998 3-Series (STS car) so if I do go, I'll be co-driving with him. Maybe it will be a 3 driver challenge? It sure as h*%$ better be a better course than the last time. That was the worst course I have ever run.

I'll be there as long as it's dry. Oh heck, I might make it even if it isn't. The same crew EM'd the last DMVR event last year. They took some road course out in Michigan (or some place) and scaled it down to fit the available space. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that again.

The last course there was a real oddity. What's more odd is that I've seen it done before.

Imagine if you will, an autox course with NO RIGHT TURNS!
It was like "NASCAR does Solo2".

Come on, I loved that course! (of course, my only reason for loving it is that I drove well all day AND beat you!:dancin: ) Other than that, it was a pretty goofy design.

If it rains, you'll DEFINTELY want to be drivin' the Suby - even with semi-bald Azenis it will out-accelerate everything else at the event. :D

Steve:
NOT SO FAST! :verymad: I will also be there.

Paul:
I'd like to caravan over there with you guys...If I can handle waking up early :zzz

Adam:
Depending on the safety of the course, we might be able to co-drive each other's cars. I really want to drive a properly balanced RWD car with a limited slip. Besides, you're one of the few drivers that I would trust with my new car :gent:

Hmm....okay 2nd fastest!:p (that is, unless I install my off-season boost controller & run in Street Mod!:D )

So you're finally coming to an Iowa event? cool! You'll like the larger lots (although Sandpiper isn't as large as Waterloo, and is slick asphalt, versus Waterloo's concrete). There probably won't be much competition in AS, but should be some National-caliber drivers there to test yourself against.

I got off of work so I am going!!! Swwwweeeeeet! So far I know of three people I am suppossed to co-drive with. . . hmm, this could get interesting. We'll see who all shows, and then we'll worry about it. As far as National caliber drivers, Joe Tharpe (#2 in C-stock at Nationals) will not make it due to a family surgury, and I wonder if Goodner will show up so late in the season. Reinhardt will be there. At the last event of the year in 2002, Salah, Chuck and I set the 9 best PAX scores of the event while co-driving each others cars. It will be a day I will always remember. The announcer kept talking smack to all the Iowa boys saying we were kicking their a@#$'s. It was a great moment for Minnesota. Lets do it again this year!

Me too! Me too!

I'll be there also, and I wouldn't mind joining in on the caravan if that's ok. Otherwise, see you in IOWA.:)

Edit: darn it. I did it again. This is NIKKI, not Matt "I-don't-know-how-to-log-out" Dahlman.

Meeting at the McDonald's in Lakeville at 6 AM seems to get us to Sandpiper at just about the right time. Anyone who wants to meet & drive down can show up there/then.

Somehow this answer got on another thread??? Here it is on the right one...
Matt,

Last event Steve, Alex and I caravanned from the McDonalds in Lakeville, meeting just before 6:00, and met Chris B in Clear Lake (at another McDonalds), we made it there about 7:30 or so, had breakfast and got to Saylorville in plenty of time.
Steve, Alex & Chris, this work out for you again?

Any and all welcome to join this caravan to the last AX of the season.

I will want to trade/codrive again --- any "cute car" wannabees out there want to trade drives???

Paul

I'll be there if Paul goes, as he's been gracious enough to allow me to drive his Mini again, despite the fact that I've already beaten him twice while driving it. :p

Of course I wouldn't mind driving a second car, should anyone have a spare seat.:gent:

I see the weather forcast for the event is 70 degrees and only a 30% chance of rain.

I'm getting sick of that dancing banana.

Are you suggesting that we should have a bananaban?

Forgive me. It's early....

It's descrimination I say!
The poor thing just never had a chance.
All He [it] ever did was dance for joy.

Kinda' like I feel after a good run, you just know.
Better than getting shot,or being shot, or pukin' all over, and then there are the smiles.

That little guy doing the shooting could get into a lot of trouble with that gun. It looks very real.

Hey speaking of smiles, that's what the banana does best.

Must be really early.

How about this little guy, for a change of pace?http://home.comcast.net/~stevegarnjobst/smilies/xblueman.gif

If you don't want resort to gunplay, you could always pull out the light sabres!

It sounds like it will be cold & rainy, so you may not miss much.

I probably should stay home too & rake leaves, but since I have permission, I'm going!;)
