Number one daughter Kalin wants to do the novice school in April… Problem is she has zero experience driving a manual transmission and not much time or interest to learn… So, anyone have a decent automatic autox car they’d be willing to rent out for a day… Need to know soon, the school is filling quick… If nothing else I can rent a car from a rental place with crap tires…
Thanks…

I'll probably be at the novice school to help out if volunteers are needed, so she's welcome to drive the GTI.

Thanks Amy, I was just thinking about you and Alex... I was trying to remember if that was an auto or not... I'll tell her I have a car for her for the day... I'll PM both of you soon...

It's great that Kalin is coming out! I've never regretted having my daughter run for a couple years. She's a good driver.

why would you want to put the girl into a car she is unfamilar with? why not let her us whatever car she has been driving?

Kalin drives a Jeep Liberty, I wouldn't let her use that... Novice school is full, we missed out... Kalin has summer shool, the June Novice school's out too...

That's a bummer, I wonder how many women will end up not joining our club just because we couldn't get them into novice school... :(

invent a womens only novice school, I am sure many people would gladly help with it, lol

My wife was almost sold on it. Trish and Gretchen really had her interested at the awards party. Unfortunately though, enough time has passed since the party that her enthusiasm has waned and she decided against it.

We're paid up on our CVSCC dues though, maybe I can get her to join their one-day school June 8)

Any chance this or a similiar offer is on the table for the June session? I'd love to get my wife behind the wheel but a 300whp VRT just isn't the way to go about learning how to auto-x. Not for her at least:D

Trish has been trying to drum up interest at the Women of Today. There seems to be a fair bit of interest, but they do seem to be a bit timid that it'll be all car-guy-ey, for want of a better word. We nearly had them signed up for the Ladies Driving School that the BMW Club were advertising on their website, but then we found out that it last ran in 2006, and they hadn't planned on one for 2007.
