View Full Version : Enduro 1/5/08 at ProKart Indoors

The Enduro will be next Saturday the 5th… Arrive at 2:00/2:15 and start around 2:30… New drivers are welcome, Tim said he’d set up the teams… Nothing scheduled next Saturday before the enduro so if the newbie’s want to show early and do a practice round or two they can…
Two different possibilities per Tim at ProKart…
1) 20 people, 100 laps, two per team, 1 pit stop between laps 40 and 60…
2) 30 people, 160 /180 laps, three per team, with 5 pit stops every 20 /25 laps…
About 35 buck’s each…
The list so far…. I’ll edit as new people post…

Wait...maybe I can. Saturday. Hmmmmm. Put me down as a tentative. I've never done it before, so I'm going to really suck at it, but sounds like a ball.

It's easy pat! Like driving a CS car. little bit of hp, no torque, corners great and you don't have to use the brakes much!
Make sure to wear some padding. Last year I did one day in a normal t-shirt and my back was all scratched up.
Note to self, bring sweat shirt

Well, team RDUBAHL'S took second, (TODAY) "I" drove like $hit... don't know what the deal was, track is VERY stickey, I "think" that was my problem... well I'll blame it on that... Randy drove GREAT, like normal, just really lucky the one team ran outa gas on the last lap. DDUB even got some runs in, everyone who's running Saturday try and get there early, watch the WEB as for time.
WAY TO GO RDUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad cold and all... I did about 50 laps... Had no plan's to run but one guy didn't show... Had Fun... Good racing and on the very sticky track, Rdub smoked us... Well, other then the 14 year old 90 pounder... That young MAN will be racing a stock car in the spring...
And we need a few more... I need to call Tim at ProKart in the morning and tell him, 1 or 1 1/2 hours...
I'll join in. Bring full-face helmet?

Looks like we'll be going with this format...
180 laps, three per team, with 5 pit stops every 20 /25 laps… Each person will get 60 laps... This should be FUN... Still a few spots left...
PLEASE ARRIVE BY 2:00 so we can get started at 2:30... This will take about an hour and a half...

Heh...nice goggles. I have a faceshield somewhere from my C Mod days. Just have to find it. Don't be looking for any Randy /Pat battles. I'll be lucky to get out of there without kart tracks across my faceshield.
Please post directions, address, or a link to a map, I will probably just meet everyone there. Also, what time can I show up and get some practice in? Anyone else need practice?

I am by no means the fastest guy out there.
On any given day there are at least 10 folks on the sign up list that are as fast or faster.Don't forget the Karts are never quite equal and racing luck comes into play alot too.Thats why its fun and not to be taken TOO seriuosly

I just confirmed with Tim at ProKart...
180 laps with 5 pit stops, 3 person teams...
ProKart T-shirts to the team that wins...
35 bucks each or about .50 per lap... Not bad...
We will max out at 30 people...
If you want to do a practice round or two, be at ProKart by 1:00 or 1:30...

Mid 21's to mid 22's... But if you go to ProKart on the off times, lap time could be in the 22/24 second range...
If you're runnin 32's that'd be fine!!!!

It was Wednesday Larry… They blew up a motor that morning during another race… That puts a nice layer of oil on the track… The tires suck up the oil making the karts tires super sticky… I followed Rdub for a couple laps, he was on three wheels through most corners… During the qualifying session, Bahl's made a quick turn to miss a cone and had one front tire a good 3" off the track...

Anyway, It seemed that the carts were a little slow that day.

I will be watching for another one of these. Would be worth the trip in the next couple dark winter months to go play for a couple hours. Thanks guys!
