2nd Karting league!

ok girls....here is the dealio:

Prokart Burnsville

7:30 MONDAY Nights starting Nov. 26th, for 8 weeks, CHRISTmas & New Years are skipped.

Costs are: $225 upfront (which saves you the sign up fee!), or $25 sign up fee and $28each week.

Parnters are ok, subs are ok, long as you aren't having a "super man driver" sit in for you to help you in your point totals. 16ppl is the goal! That way we will each get to run 2 heats...group one goes, then group two goes, top 4 from each group go, then the bottom 4 of each group.

Beer afterwards at either Renegades or the Big Dawg. Prizes and pizza party at the end of the last night. Spectators and fellow beer drinkers welcome.

I will be maintaining the list; so if you want in, please email/pm/call me with your name, alias, & ph#, to get on the list. Anyone is welcome despite your membership to wherever.

hmmm, I still want to race though... such a tough decision

maybe I'll go down there and try it out to see if it is really as much fun and I think it will be and then I'll make a decision

I believe it was the only slot that Prokarts had available.

Karting by yourself is "fun", but it's no where near as much fun as racing with the same cut-throat group of drivers week after week!

$30 per event to run other people's stuff? Aw, what the heck. It used to cost $100 per event to run my race kart with entry fees, the tow to E.C., worn parts & stuff.

You are very much correct. I should do something to keep up that competative edge other than my indoor soccer league and 2 curling leagues. Besides none of those involve the burning of fosil fuels and that is one of my favourite pastimes.

Curling, eh? A buddy of mine threw an eight-ender a few years ago in St. Paul. He used to curl with Bob Labonte up in Grafton, ND way before that. That about exhausts my curling trivia.

the sooner we fill it the better, it will make me and tim @ prokart less nervous.....but in reality it wouldn't have to be filled....but you are taking a gamble on all the spots being consumed.

They won't let me drive my Subaru at Prokart. ;) While many skills transfer between the two disciplines, karting is plenty different from autocross. But it will be a ton of fun, where ever I end up running. And it is so much fun to chase the fast guys.

ACTUALLY.....Don't bother showing up before 7:30....THIS WEEK & THIS week only there is another league in our spot....Tim is shoving them up 1/2 hour for the remainder of the series. So we prolly won't go on to like 7:45 or so....but do show up early to pay up & do paper work.

Sounds like there is another league right before ours. So, there wouldn't be any open track time. You might still learn something by going a little early, learning the track (they changed it last year) and watching the line the fast guys are taking.

With the unfortunate turn late this week, and the services this coming Monday...I will not be able to attend the Dec 17 kart day. With the impact this could have on the attendance, any thoughts of postponing this week, and just adding it to the end?

I JUST found out!!! I spoke w/ Tim and he agreed to let us reschudle this week and tac it on the end. Please spread the word that we off this weekend for Paul, the following weekend for CHRISTmas, and next week for New Years.
