I am in La Crosse, WI this week and the La Crosse chapter of the SCCA had their monthly competition meeting that I stopped by for a moment at.

Here is what I noticed, they meet twice a month and they had at least 12 people there and they really don't have many true autocross SCCA members which they are trying to change so that they don't lose their insurance. The other strange thing is they hold their meetings at "Glory Days!". I'm not sure if this is because the Packers are not very good this year or so they can talk about how much faster they were instead of how fast they are going to be.

While that is all I got out of it. I just stopped in told them that the goofy guy in the
Mini Cooper will not give me my trophy without a $30 service charge. Just Kidding of course.

Well MAC has about 150 members at this time of the year, and we didn't even have a quorum for last months meeting.
what's up wid dat? :flame:

If we don't get people to 'step up' and serve on the board, or at least attend a meeting once in a while, soon we won't have a club! If you are a member, or attend a MAC event, then this is YOUR CLUB! :) :)

SCCA's LOL club isn't going to do it. They are into rally and rally cross now, and even at the last rally cross I attended only had about 25 entrants.

In this area we have close to 1000 people involved in this sport. That's between all the clubs. PCA, BMW, Audi, Miata, AARRF, COM, Renegades, Suburban, etc.

If we don't hang together, we may 'hang separately'

At this months meeting on the 24th, I will bring up that we need to have our own annual party.

If we had the turn out % that the La Crosse club had we would need to find something bigger then Parrish's to hold a meeting. Do you think we could figure out that problem?

I think Parrishes would handle about 40 to 50 people. We could always ask for some more chairs. :dancin:

I'd better call them, and see if they could handle our [new] MAC annual party.

We could look at doing it at a Pro Kart. I think the one in Blaine has a room. Then we could get in some karting too.
