I plan on going. I don't know the area either otherwise I'd suggest something. On the other hand it will be hard for me to predict what time I'll be rolling threw there.

There is a Super America right there on Upper 55th Street. It's the next exit off of 52 on the south side of 494. Can't miss it.

A little further out of the cities is Hampton, and the cafe Little Oscars is a nice place to meet.

I can usually get there in 45 Minutes from Robbinsdale...

Still trying to decide if tomorrow works for me --- Christopher, can I co-drive your car the w/e before Nats?

I've promised Dan B. a co-drive in the Sprite at the CVSCC event amd it'd be a shame to break it the w/e before...

Chris,
It takes about 2-2.5 hours to get there at the speed limit. Watch out for cops, there are tons along there.

Where did Pat pull that one run from? It doesn't look like he came close to duplicating it.

Their results don't show penalties. I was running dirty 59s. Pat ran a few 57's and a 56.

Dale, has had a Solstice for a few months. It's bone stock. He didn't want to run the Subi at that venue.

I talked to Dale and he was worried about the hard transitions between the 2 oval tracks. He didn't want to knock some thing out of wack on the car.

I remember running there once and the fast line could possibly take the bead off the rim. If it came off it was the slowest line, if it didn't it was quick but rough.

Too true.....

However, the time gap is greater than normal. I'm guessing it has something to do with Pat's greater familiarity with the unusual venue.

It don't hurt. We could have done more runs, but after a 56 something, our tire testing was done. Chris didn't take his sixth run either. Saving the old girls for Nats. We are runnning the same tires we started out at Valleyfair this Spring. :)

Must be nice - we have a 12 run set of tires as our primaries, with a 30 run set as backups. Not to mention the zero run wet tires....

Yes, it's the only AutoX site I've ever been to with a blind corner. It's like DCTC with trees!

I didn't recall any trees at the speedway. Are you thinking of the Winona site? :?

Wrong site...we were at the Speedway. Luckily, I talked the course designer out of an 60 to 70 mph section on a curving 18 foot side access road that had a down sloping, soft ground runoff. Yikes! 2 off and call the wrecker. It worked out well and we got the job done we went there for.
