:rockon From Steve Johnson - The next CVSCC autocross will be at the CVTC MAIN campus (that awsesome large lot from 2006). Apparently, the CVTC president, Bill Ihlenfeldt, actually brought up the autocross and the possibility of running the Sept. 30 event at the Clairemont site. Cabinet response to the June event was very positive, the idea of having another one at Clairemont was also very positive and they voted to approve it.

Here's the early informational link (I'm still waiting on MyAuto events to approve and will then add the details):

UPDATE - Here's the MyAutoEvents Link (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=7900&psrnd=.97856983054507251424237901571216719224). I also corrected the PAX Indexes to match what you guys use for 2007.

Holy Cripes! That lot is 714' by 500'. That's huge. For comparison the useable lot at midway is only 457' by 314'. This lot is over twice as large as midway.

I can't wait to give it a run or 8 :)

Well if they STAND in your way I would expect even a 914 to decimate them.:D

I'm really looking forward to this event.

And one of these days I'll learn how to drive...

On another note: It's sad that one of the best lots for the MINNESOTA Autosports Club is located in Chippewa Falls, WISCONSIN.

Re think your bet... M4, 9th overall, .582 behind the Lotus, (I did a 32.982 in buck runs with Mike S. riding shotgun), with 1/2 the HP. Are you voting "Lotus" just because you are a Lotus part owner?

LOL (Lotus Part Owner)

Time will tell if I have to eat crow, I'm sticking with my prediction.

Ah, but for those of us who emigrated from MN to WI it's rather satisfying.8)

And it's not Chippewa Falls, it's in Eau Claire. Chippewa Falls is about 15 miles north of here. ;)

So Eau Claire is a suburb of Chippewa Falls?

Interesting fact about Chippewa Falls: Per capita it has the highest rate of teen pregnancy in the state. My guess is that it has something to do with the high cost of Cable TV out here, and the low cost of beer.

When I was an abrasives salesman many years ago, I called there. A couple of guys were drinking beer from pilsner glasses. They offered me a beer. I didn't sell any abrasives. They told me their stuff was all glass-lined. Didn't know what was going to happen when this one guy died or retired, since he was the only guy who knew how to repair them.

Once registration opens I'll open a new reminder thread, but if you want to add this to your MyAutoEvents calendar or just want to view, here's the MyAutoEvents Link (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=7900&psrnd=.97856983054507251424237901571216719224). There's a very important 's' in that sentence that I missed at first. I thought most salesmen were abrasive at least some of the time :)

I tried to be a non-abrasive abrasives salesman.

I know for a fact that #158 is wearing the wrong state's plates to be featured in a CVTC or CVSCC ad. Car #51 is definitely the better choice. ;)
