SCCA Land O'Lakes Region RallyCross

Triple Caution RallyCross
August 17th, 2003

Corcoran Lions Park in Corcoran, MN
Hwy 101 and Bass Lake Road

The next event in the 2003 LOL RallyCross series (sponsored by Bloomington Acura Subaru) will be on 8/17/03 at the Corcoran Lions Park!

There will be a number of changes/improvements to better accommodate big turnouts like we had last time:

Schedule (we'll be starting about 1 hour earlier):
Registration 9:00 - 10:45
Tech 9:00 - 10:30
Drivers meeting 11:00
Timed runs 11:30 - 4:00
Trophies 5:00

Electronic Timing
We will have the actual Tag Heuer timing system that's used for ProRally! This will make timing much easier and more accurate, but will require standing starts and one-minute start intervals. Should be fun!

Pre registration for worker positions
Working will be mandatory for all competitors. You will be able to secure yourself the best jobs by e-mailing me jimcox@visi.com me before the event or signing up at registration for the deluxe assignments like watering, registration, spectator marshal, scoring, start marshal, etc. First come, first served.

Tech location
Tech will not come to your car, you will have to bring your car to tech.

Course
The tightest sections of course will be more open than last time, but we'll still be slowing you way down going through the two gates.

Rally worker school
Rally America will be running a worker school concurrent with the event (you should be able to do both if you want). Training will occur in the morning of our event then the trainees will test their new skills by helping work the event.

PA System
This will allow us to communicate with everyone in the paddock

Here is some basic information that has not changed since the last event:

Contact: Jim Cox is Rallymaster e-mail at: jimcox@visi.com.

Directions: Corcoran Lions Park is on the corner of Hwy 101 and County Rd. 10 in Corcoran MN. The park is about 5 miles west of the Bass Lake Rd/County Rd 10 exit from 494 in the NW corner of the twin cities metro area. If you have ever been to the Hennepin County Fair, you've been to this site. Mapquest has the site properly placed and labeled as "Corcoran Lions Park".

Cost: $25 SCCA members, $30 for non-members, (spectating is free).

This is a this premium venue, please continue to be on your best behavior so we are welcomed back for more.
Food and fuel are less than 2 miles away.
Grandstand seating offers nice elevated view of the track.
Track surface is mostly packed clay and class 5 gravel and should not be a "car breaker".
I should have grooming equipment to keep the course in good condition.
Your best run from each set will be added together to determine your final score.
Dust-free parking area.
Shaded spectator area.
ProRally cars probably on display.

Hopefully it isnt TOO hard on my car :X
