I've got the Marriot to agree to a rate they will hold for the summer if I book the room now. The dates would be:

Aug 10 and 11 - Two day Mil WAI -
Room cancelled

Sept 7 and 8 - Two day Mil SCCA - Chris, Pat and 1) Steve Garnjobst 2) Chris DeLay
Mil SCCA #5; #6

These are the dates Chris and I are planing on making. The rate would be $179 / night. About $45 per person if we fill it with 4 people. Normal rates are $209 / night.

I will book them, but I wanted to throw it out there to see who is interested in rooming with us. Anyone able to commit to any dates? You cna private mail me, or respond here. I think it's a pretty good deal with 4 people...it's ery nice and very quiet. Thanks!1

Note: I am not going to be there for the Tour, (I'm in the motorhome) but Chris will proabably still be there, so there's room for three more people on that weekend.

Also, I will add that we've had couples too, so John, Ivan, Larry, anyone else that wants to bring a spouse, it works out fine. Neal and Katie cannot any longer because of a steep pet fee. Don't bring a pet!

Sorry Gretchen, but they are still charging a lot of $$$ for dogs to stay. We booked a room at the LaQuinta on Bluemound. $125/night and no charge for dogs.

WOW, just looked at some past results. There is some pretty frickin fast STS drivers over there.

I've never seen them turn anyone away day of event - they just charge more.

There are some VERY fast STS drivers in Milwaukee (including the guy who would have won STS at '06 Nationals, if not for a protest). The fastest guys run in the Pro PAX class, but you'll still face stiff competition in the "regular" STS class.

Yes last weekend I watched her miss her shift into 2nd gear off the start line, it looked like she screwed up her whole run, and she still came accross the line with a 1st place STS time.

As long as you're down there, you should just stay...why go back when there's an event the next day? She can come along too....there's room if she doesn't mind the arrangements.

Checking the first page schedule, you will see that this is for two nights...the 6th and the 7th. If you are not staying both nights, you may want to mention that as your roomates would be down by one person for one night.

Nope, I'll be there both of those days. I just wasn't sure of the exact dates. I just signed up for the tour today, and didn't even know the dates until I checked tonight. For some reason, I thought the 6th and 7th were the dates of the tour, and you were just listing those days. Not that those were the room nights. My mistake on that part.

I'll be there for sure. Worked out the time off, and am signed up now.

I now have a bit of a scheduling problem, since our youth soccer league decided to change their tournament schedule at the last minute. As a result, I can't make it for the Saturday event. I'm still coming over for Sunday, though. So I need a place to stay on the 28th, but not the 27th. If you can find someone to take both days, go for it. Otherwise, I'll be there on the 28th.

Yeah, that's why on I'm on this. Late plans have Dawn and myself taking a week vacation right after the event. We will be using the motorhome. Either you and Chris can start to make other arrangements, or two people would need to get in on it soon. Either way, I can cancel withuot penalty if I do it within a couple days.
