We're going down to see what those Chicago drivers got. Chris and I are going to stay at the golf course hotel. (Crap...I just moved offices and can't find the business card I got from the hotel!)
Anyway, I'll find it. Very deluxe rooms with 2 queen beds, fold out couch, and room for floor air mattress. Easily fits four, or 5 if two are a couple. (Don't ask...don't tell.) Very nice rooms with full kitchens. We need a couple more to fill out the room. Anyone want in?

I booked the room, but thier prices are creeping up. $169 for next weekend, after June it's going to be $209/Night.
What kind of deals are you guys getting at the other place?

Pat,
I got a room with 2 Queen-sized beds at the Country Inn for $99/night. That's a pretty smoking deal, compared to their normal rates.
Note: rates are a LOT higher for the dates of the National Tour. I ended up at the Courtyard for that trip - at something like $129/night.

Trick for you online hotel reserver.
A lot of those sites have a cool (for them trick).
If you have cookies for the site and that page the prices on some sites will creep up.
If they can tell you have visited the same date/reservation page they will bump the prices up.
So if you check from another computer OR you clear your cookies the prices will SOMETIMES go down.
Happens with airlines too.

I've seen this with hotels, airlines, and travel services.

With 4 of us, we're still better off at $169. That may change unless I can get a better rate for the summer. I'm going to try to negotiate with them.

Yes, that is a VERY annoying marketing tactic (one of many that devious minds have thought up). :flame:
In the case of Milwaukee, I've noticed the hotels there seem to play a lot of games with prices, depending on what local events are going on.

Pat, I'm in (solo, no Kerry this time). Where are we staying? Do I need to bring an air bed, or does the room come with room for four?
Anyone want a passenger (i.e. split gas) for the ride out there? I've got a co-drive once we get there.....

We're at the Marriot Residence Inn at the Golf Course. One of us will have to bring an inflatable mattress. You got one?

Pat, I got one. I'll try to remember to pack it along. That and the inflator or I'll be dizzy till Sunday afternoon!
Steve, when are you planning to leave? Where are you staying? Can you drop me at the Residence Inn?

Late to the party as usual. Anyone still need a roomie? We'll probably have to book a room at the LaQuinta down the road for the dog, but we can get a double bed...

You alergic to dogs? Parker might be willing to share a back seat.
