Yes it's true - as of 1:43 PM on April 13th, registration is full for MOWOG 1. Interest in the 2007 MOWOG Series is definitely high - as that's the earliest we've filled an event. Just to save me from answering the same questions 20 times, please review MAC's policy on waiting lists & day-of-event registrations:
1. MAC does not keep waiting lists for advanced event registration. We used to do this, but it was an administrative nightmare - so we discontinued the practice.
2. MAC has a no-refund policy for online registrations. There are exceptions for emergency/urgent situations. The full policy is posted on the MAE event page for MOWOG 1 (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=7266).
3. There is generally a robust secondary market for event entries, so someone who has a registration, but is unable to attend can usually find a buyer by posting on these forums. For a registration to change hands, the original registrant simply needs to send an email to macregistrar@msn.com, stating they wish to transfer their registration to someone else. Please include contact information for the replacement driver with your email.
4. Entry limits for events are set at the maximium numbers we feel each site can physically handle, while still providing a minimum of 5-6 runs per day. Therefore, don't expect to see limits raised. However, we invariably have a few no-shows for each event. Event-day registrations to replace no-shows will be made available, space permitting. For event-day registrations, we will keep a waiting list at the registration tables, on a first-come, first-served basis. A decision on how many spaces are available will be made 10 minutes prior to the close of registration.
5. A final note to all registered drivers for MOWOG 1/2. DO NOT BE LATE! With 165 drivers, we can't afford to deviate from the schedule - so if you arrive after registration closes, don't expect to be allowed in the event. Also, ALL drivers must complete at least one course walk, in order to participate.
