I know this is posted in the wrong catagory, but I wanted to make sure everyone read this show update. Wed night was Volksport's last minute detail meeting before the show. The finalization of the show classes was to be discussed. There was a lack of attendance from the AutoX segment of the club and the thought of adding an AutoX car class to show never got mentioned. Being an avid AutoX guy and member of that and this club, I would have rallied for one if I was there. As some of you know, I attended the MAC meeting instead to present my plea about needing camera equipment. getting to the point, I mentioned my disappointment to them and they decided last night to add it! Sooo I'd really like to see MAC people come out tommorow and enter! You will have good time! Your Pres, Dwight will be on hand promoting us too..

Heres the classes

The club gave me the OK. I will have the capability to take additional photos then what Ive been doing this year. And yes, at higher resolution, but I wont guarantee every photo of everyone's car or shot will be High res. If an angle works under the right conditions, I will try. My MAIN goal as MAC Photographer is to get a nice shot of every entrant's car. My battery would crap out by mid-day.

Now, we're you planning on coming to MAAS or have any questions in regards to that?

Hope to see you tommorow...

Heres the flyer, anyone need directions?

My only thing is the resolution thing.

Is it a bandwidth thing? Or something else? I guess I would just hope that all shots would be avail high res. If you need hosting space...I could provide it.

Yeah I guess I should go. But then I need to start detailing the car last week. I probably won't run on the little oval.

Its not a Hosting issue. When you use digital media to take action shots at high resolution, theres not always a guarantee the shot will be crisp or in focus. Digitals need time to process the image. Granted this camera is fast, but nobody's photos are perfect everytime. At MAC events, You only have 1 or maybe 2 chances to take a decent shot. I orbit around the track trying different angles. Action Photography is all about timing. If I CAN find a spot on the course (thats safe!) and all the elements are right like timing, angle, sunlight etc, I will set the camera to high res. FYI: I have to take photos of people in my run group too! I have sacrificed runs to fulfill my volunteering as a member.

I guess I am talking about something closer to 1024x768 rather than 320x240.

Bill, surely you can get someone else to take the pictures during your run? That is, someone you can trust with your digital camera! :D

If (when?) I am not in the same run group as you, I'd be happy to do it! :D
