As always, it's more complicated than just can/can't go. I could have pushed this one and gone to Nats, but that would have left me in a bad position for some other time off I'm looking to take later this year.

Bottom line, sucks though it does that I let work dictate my fun time, this time 'round I chose to take one for the work team. FWIW, as part of agreeing not to go this year, I got my boss to agree that me attending next year is a lock.

This way I have all next year to get _really_ good (like, Randy-good) in the new car... :evil: And, by '07 they may go & lump all Miatas back into ES anyway :D

Technically, not true. The SCCA Board of Directors could still approve a rules change for '07, if circumstances warranted it. However, as a practical matter, it won't happen. They'll want at least another year of results and member feedback to mull over.
