I seem to remember that pre-M5 warnings were sent out about bringing wooden boards to put between jacks and the pavement at DCTC to prevent the jacks sinking into the surface. Will that hold true for M6, too, or will it be cool enough that this is not likely to be a problem ? Predictions right now are a high of 80f. Yes, I know this can change, and probably will.
Stuart.

I bring a board to every event rain expected or not (thanks to Adam borrowing his to me and then leaving before getting it back :D ). I had mine at last weekends event.
I'd say always bring one along just in case. It really stinks to leave holes in the black top.

even in the relatively mild temperature and rain, my jack sunk in a tiny bit last week. so bring wood.

It is considered polite when working on asphalt to put a piece of plywood under jacks or jackstands to protect the surface. With some kinds of pavement and jackstands, it could also save your life.
