What do the stars mean?

What do the gold stars mean? Theyu are located on the upper left corner of a message block.

If they're like other message boards I've seen, they usually denotes your 'rank' in the message board, based on how many messages/replies you have posted in the message board. Since this is a new message board, everyone has one star. If you post often, someday you'll 'graduate' to two stars, then three, etc. So post often! :D
