I want to sign up, but I have so many events planned already. This weekend, M3, than Waterloo the weekend before the Milwaukee Tour. I don't think I can spare the money on a Non-Nationals prepping event.
Oh well. I guess I can sit one out. I just need to hope Alex doesn't make 5 events again this year :D

With a little less publicity maybe the event won't fill so quickly and the fear of no openings, and the ensuing rush won't happen.

My wife and I had a voluntary transfer to East Fishkill, NY. So it looks like we're moving there at the end of June or so. I figured I'd post some kind of "good bye" thing later :)
Coincidentally, Mustafa is moving to Torrington, CT, like 30 miles from East Fishkill! So I'll retain one of my autocross buddies from MAC :D
So when do I get my MINI Roger, and my wheels back with it?

yaaaa.... I don't think my wife is having that. Well, actually she'd be thrilled if I sold it, as long as I didn't replace it with anything.
The Mini will be paid for in a month or so. With housing prices out there, I think I'll be driving it for a LONG time :P

We should all get mini Rogers. I'd keep mine on top of my monitor at work.

More like 70 miles. More importantly, East Fishkill is only 45 miles from Lime Rock! :burnout:
My mom used to have a friend in Fishkill. We visited there in 1959. It's probably changed.
You guys are going to have a good time out there. Lots of nice roads. Plenty of autocrossing clubs. Let us know if you trip over Bob Bownes out there. He was in Troy the last I heard. Don't know what he's autocrossing these days, but I bet he still has the TR6 too.

I find the original purpose of the thread post, notifying everyone the event is open, very helpful. However what people end up posting in it (the fact that they signed up) is out of our control. Although I agree with you on peopls posts being silly.
But in all it is still useful for people like myself that are very busy, and don't remember what day it is half the time :)
Maybe I will sign up. We'll see. I'm a little short on cash right now thanks to other events.

I've signed up for the MOGWOG 4 event in the SI Class. I don't have a number yet. Can I get a number before the event and will printing them on 8 1/2 by 11 sheets of paper work or will painters tape on the exterior of the car work.
Thanks,
Mark

Phil Ethier will probably chime in here sooner or later but in the meantime:
You can get a permament number for $1 from Phil. See this link:

If you are going to print out numbers on paper see this link:
http://www.rmsolo.org/makenumbers.html
2" painters tape works as long as they are big enough (8" minimum) and the car is a contrasting color to the tape. I can't stress this enough. Timing sucks when you can't see the numbers!
However if you are even somewhat serious about the sport I would recommend buying magnetic numbers from Phil. See the first link. They are very reasonably priced and easy to use and last a long time. He even offers a deal on SI class letters: When you want or have to move to a regular class he will usually exchange the SI letters with your new class lettering. Cool.
Welcome and don't forget to have fun out there.
