Just FYI… I see people talking about showing up at 8:00 or so… It takes longer then you think to accomplish everything + get a half dozen course walks in… If you show up at 7:00 and take care of business your course walks will be way more effective… I’ll arrive about 6:30…

Register, change tires, inspection and course walks… They take longer then you think...

7:15 am to 8:30 am - Event registration
7:45 to 9:15 am - Course walking
7:30 am to 8:45 am - Tech inspection
9:00 am - Novice Course Walk
9:30 am - Drivers meeting
10:00 am - First car off

With so many of us pre-registered, how much more is there to do WRT registration on the day ? Sign the insurance waiver and get a wrist band ? Or is this where work assignments are handed out, too ?

Like DW said
and there are 170 other people coming in ,there is Tech inspection
work assignments, friends to see, waivers to sign, cool cars to look at.
TIME SLIPS BY QUICKLY
And being NEW you will be confused some.
And the biggy WALK THE COURSE AT LEAST 4 times ,concentrating
on what you want to do and memorizing the layout.

Well, this is obviously supposed to be to my attention, and i understand. Perhaps i'm just too used to running Iowa events!!

Don't worry, i'll be there on time!

Sorry, not at all, you reminded me... VF is very big... People show up at 8:30... And before you know it the first car is off... 1/2 the drivers get 1 walk then are upset with course design, dnf or whatever... with 160+ drivers we, MAC, just want things to go well...

I plan to get there between 6:45 and 7... being from Burnsville makes getting to VF easy-peasy.

See y'all there.

I'll reinforce what Darryl and Randy are saying - get there plenty early.

The course is long and fairly technical. It will take you approx. 10 minutes to walk it once. Do the math - you need to reserve a good chunk of time for course walks.

The first car WILL be off at 10 AM. With 160 entrants, we can't afford to deviate from the schedule. That means if you arrive after registration & tech closes, you won't be running - even if you pre-registered.

I can absolutely guarantee that there will be people who show up at the last minute, don't have a permanent number, don't know what number they are going to use and have no idea how they are going to put it on the car. Some of these people will have autocross experience.

This season I also expect people to be upset that they lost their permanent number on New Years even though I have been telling anybody who will listen for a year and a half.

And that's just me. All the other folks in Registration will be busy the whole time.
