CANCELED- June 15th autocross

The June 15th Father's Day Autocross at Midway has been cancelled due to a Kansas concert. I will be working to add another event elsewhere.

Is HTC available that weekend? Would it be worth looking at St Cloud for that weekend??

I'd like to keep a "Father's Day" weekend event. It's always nice to let my dad beat me on Father's day.;)

"Let" me beat you? It doesn't need to be Father's Day for that, any Sunday works fine for me. Bring it on Sundberg...

As for a Father's Day event, I recommend we keep it if we can find a site. We've run on Mother's Day before haven't we?

A fathers day event is very appropriate, [foghorn] But Mother's day, why that would be sacrilege!

We are starting to work with Volksport on a co-sanctioned event. discussed last night at the Met-Council mtg. Nothing concrete, but it would be a show, MAAS. [MInnesota Amatuer Auto show] and a autocross put on by MAC.
But not at Raceway Park this year. They have issues there.
Possibly the State Fair grounds, possibly All Right Parking? Chuck Bower needs to call me, Mark Genzlinger, etc.
We can do this if we work hard. But, NOthing set in stone yet.

Has anyone checked into having an event at the "old" Best Buy world headquarters in Eden Prairie? It's off of Hwy 212 and Shady Oak Road. With the entire move ending in May to the new Corporate Campus, this location will be empty and there are some good sized parking lots there.

I'm all for another Father's Day event. We've had our dad out with us the last two years on that day. It's becoming somewhat of a tradition.

Our re-scheduled MOWOG 2 is fast approaching, set for June 1. Any news on the re-schedule for MOWOG 3? I realize that if there was anything concrete, we'd be updated, but any progress or whispers in the wind about when and where? Also, should we add this info to the opening banner on the site, in case others surf thru our little part of the internet and didn't catch this thread, and read the schedule under "events" and assume June 15 is on?

I am pursuing the Midway site for the 6/15 MOWOG III and will update hopefully by Thursday.
