Iowa Region has their schedule online. Looks like there is a conflict with the MAC Novice School and Mowog 2. But they do have an event April 9th which I'm planning to hit!!!

A good backup if the DMVR event is snowed out. I don't think I should go to both, but maybe...

I am up for hitting at least one of these events. I don't want my trip to MAM in May to be my Debug for my new set up!

What's the approximate drive time one-way?
About 2 hours and 15 minutes....maybe a couple of minutes more/less.....from far NE side of Rochester that is.

^^^ so tack on another hour from TC...
Is there any more info than the link posted? Their website is pretty minimal. Schedule/start time for the day, any need for pre-reg, etc...

"TC?" What's that?
Looking at the event it listed Registration and Tech from 9-10:45am. First car on course at 11am. Of course, it lists the time for the event at 8am, which is a bit confusing. If reg and tech begins at 9am we wouldn't have to leave until a little before 6am I'd imagine.

Thanks Phil! I'm still learning the lingo having moved here only 2+ months ago. :)
So, still, about 3 hours isn't bad....austinpike...down for the road trip??

we'll see, the 9th is a test and tune, the 23rd is an actual event, so that might be more interesting. I should be able to do one of the two.
I guess the 23rd is your big tuning weekend, did you schedule yourself for sat or sun?

I scheduled myself for Sun so others coming from Canada could get tuned earlier. I could probably rearrange my timing to Sat if necessary. I don't mind doing the test and tune...especially since I've made several big changes to the car and I have no idea how it'll do. Your call...but the 9th is open for me.

PM me your email & I'll send you some maps & directions I have on my PC at home.
As for the events, both Iowa Region & DMVR run considerably less structured events than MAC, it still works as they have less entrants but expect to start later and have it be more casual, it's not better or worse, just different. Waterloo itself is a large concrete pad (parking lot for a closed Greyhound track) and the courses are usually pretty fast. I have no idea of how many runs you'll get. I plan on going if the new springs get here/are installed (too much dive & tyre interference on hard braking at the DMVR T&T) and there will probably be a caravan down.

The site is located at the intersection of Hwy 20 & Hwy 63 on the South side of Waterloo, IA. Here's a Yahoo Maps Link. (http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?newFL=Use+Address+Below&addr=Greyhound+Drive&csz=Waterloo%2C+IA&.intl=us&name=&lat=&lon=&srchtype=a&qty=&new=1&trf=0&getmap=Get+Map)
From the East side, it's a bit faster to take Hwy 52 to Rochester, then Hwy 63 all the way to the site. Just pay attention to the signs, as 63 has a number of turns. Takes me approx. 3.5 hrs from my house to the site.
As Paul said, the club is pretty laid back. Runs generally don't start before 11:00 AM. I would get there by 9:30 AM or so, just to ensure you get a decent paddock spot next to some of the other Minnesotans.
