After a few delays, here's the (almost) complete Met Council Event Calendar. The MAC-sponsored events are shown in blue. Please note the following items currently NOT on the schedule:

1. Evolution Performance Driving classes. We have been unable to secure a suitable site for an entie weekend this year. Please look for a related post on the MAC forums, polling members for interest in a limited Evolution offering this year.

2. MAC was unable to schedule Fall events at Valleyfair this year. Park management has decided to try keeping the park open through the end of October. We are still working on a replacement for planned MOWOG VII & VIII events in early October.

3. Land 'O Lakes Region SCCA is planning one or more time trial events at Brainerd International Raceway this year. Some of these events will apparently only require Solo/Autocross levels of safety equipment. We will post complete details, as they are made available.

Enjoy!

do you sign up for non-mac events though myautoevents also? do you need to be a member of the respective club?

Depends on the event. I helped PCA & COM get set up on MyAutoEvents last year, and they seemed to be pleased with the results. I'd guess the DCTC events will probably be on MAE. The Brainerd events may require a mail-in form.

If the events are "open", they don't require membership in a particular club. Rates may be somewhat higher for non-members, but all Met Council clubs charge pretty reasonable rates for autocross events.

Note: MAC members-only events will be limited to 50-60 MAC members, and will have higher entry fees. These events will be focused on delivering LOTS of seat time. 8)

For MAC events, 30 days prior to each event. Online payment will be required to register online.

This is a good idea. At least if you have no-shows you still have the money in-pocket.

Good question. I would like to compete for series points in one or the other, but I know that I'll be missing certain events because of other obligations.

Damn! The Eau Claire event, which is only 15 minutes from my house, is the same weekend I won't even be in this part of the country. :x

The answer depends on whether we are able to add some Fall events to the schedule or not. At this point, 4 events would be required for both Series.

Maybe I missed a posting on this but per MAE, it looks like we were able to secure sites for MOWOG VII & VIII. That's great news even if they're not at VF!

Are refunds going to be offered if I pay but cannot showup at the event? I am just posing the question. I plan on attending all events, but I can never tell these days.

There will be a formal policy posted on our MyAutoEvents pages in the next few days. But the short answer is that the "standard" policy will be no refunds. Exceptions will be granted on a case by case basis. The bottom line is we can't afford to have people expecting refunds, just because they didn't feel like showing up. Note: since online registration won't open until 30 days before most events, we're expecting refund requests will be relatively rare.

This is radical! I am so happy the schedule is out. Looks like a better schedule than last year. Are some of these higher speed courses?

Is either MOWOG 7 or 8 going to also be an MCAS points event? Will it now be best 5-of-8 for MAC total points? Thanks!

The MOWOG Series will be best 5 of 8 events.

I think the MCAS Series will be best 4 of 7 events.

Yes. Go to Myautoevents.com (aka MAE) and search on MAC.

Is the schedule for MCAS events at
http://www.met-council.org/calendar.html
and
http://www.met-council.org/series.html
still accurate?

Is it confirmed that 4 events qualifies for a MCAS year-end trophy?

Yes the MCAS calendar is accurate. Since there are 7 events, 4 events are required to qualify.
