Wondering who will run in these classes this year, since DP bumps to EP I'm thinking I'll end in EP most of the year. I'm hoping that between both classes we'll have at least three cars at each event, otherwise it bumps to XP then DM

Not from XP to DM in Met Council. We don't bump between categories.
I won't have to worry about bumping anymore. The thought that we could not get three cars in the T class is laughable.

I'll probably run in EP this year. Unless a few more FFRs show up and want to run in AP...

Are you legal in EP and AP both?
If so now I have to earn the title Cobra Killer"
Should be fun, don't know if I can but I'll try!
What tires are you running this year?
PS. Note to course designers this year:
No long straights, lots of tight slaloms and a witches hat and or a carousel please:rolleyes:

I think AP vaporized, leaving a trace of its former self in the "modified junior" class now called XP.

A carousel is not going to save you. The Cobra has lots of tire.
Slaloms and offsets will be good. Anything to allow you to exploit the Sprite's skinnyness.
Worst thing for you is a course with tight corners and real straights.
A course that is all sweepers, with no offsets, no slalom, and no straights (old 3M course) would be about the same for you both. No place for Mike to use the power, no place for you use the skinnyness.

AP if I add a little weight. In EP I can run as is.
I won't be much competition this year. I still learning to drive the car. It's a lot harder to learn than the RX-7 was. My tires are way to skinny as well. I need wider rims as soon as I switch to 5 lug. My current rims are 7". I'm running Kumho Ecsta V700 tires. On top of all that, I'm not the best autocrosser. ;^(
EDIT: per Phil's post regarding the new XP class: bummer. Now I'm going to have to put a Microsoft sticker on my car...

You are definitely not EP legal. EM, but not EP.

I think you'll bump to my class if there are under three GP cars...

There were plans for a hot 1.8 motor for the Yellow Jackett, which would have made it a DP car, but lucky for Paul, those plans have changed. It looks like it will be in the "windows" class, as an XP car with the existing motor and wider, softer tires. Of course, subject to change if a better idea strikes Rob.
