Everybody have a good time?
Sure would be nice to RSVP these parties, so we could order enough food/drink ahead of time.
Well, I did have a good time.
Although it was gettin' a little late fer the 'ol guy...............

Name tags would be good for my memory too..............

I really enjoyed it.

My wife made some "magic bars" (coconut/chocolate things), and the MAC'ies wolfed them down even faster than they kill cones. That was quite gratifying for my wife, so thanks guys! Cooks love to see their food appreciated (ie rapidly consumed).

I'll look forward to seeing everyong in the spring... except I imagine I'll see Dwight sooner, as I still have to place my order for tires/shocks for next year.

I was planning on going, but I was out Friday night so we did a family night.
See you all at the first event I guess.

The event was great. Congrats to everyone that won an award! You all deserve it!

People would have been able to match my name to my car, but sadly I rolled up in a Mazda

Was a great time. Good to meet some of the newer people and some of the vets i've just not been able to talk to much. Also great to "size up the competition" for the coming year. Should be a lot of fun!

Looking forward to the first event!

Still being somewhat new I appreciate everyone's willingness to share tips on how to get better. With a little luck maybe I can manage a plaque next year.

Thanks again to everyone I talked to.

So I'll have to mail the trophies out. However, I will bring them to the MAC monthly meetin' .
:)
Who will be there to save the Met. council postage?

Hello all
I went to the weekly informal meetin' this last Saturday at the Square Peg Diner owned and run by Phil & Darcy Vanner.
It's mostly British car guys, but it is actually an intermarque breakfast. No agenda, just getting' together with like minded folk.

The main part of this diner holds about 75 people, plus an additional room where another 45 or so can be seated.
It's centrally located in Minneapolis, [yeah, yeah, cities are evil] at, Square Peg Restaurant 2021 Hennepin. Ave. E.

Plus Phil also owns a banquet hall three blocks away, that holds almost 300.

In talking to Phil, I brought up the question,

'could the annual awards party be held here?'

It would be far more room than the tradition of the barn, with way more seating, and the cost would be almost the same as what we have done in the past.
The cost to do this party was $125.00 rental, plus, $44.92 for soda pop and ice. This part was paid by the council. Plus we had to carry everything up, set up tables do the cleaning afterwards and take pictures so we wouldn't get hit with an extra charge if it wasn't clean enough.

Hmmmmmm?

Then many folk's brought pot luck things, which are appreciated.
And then MAC had to shell out the first time $172.00 for pizza's and because we didn't know how much we would need, ordered 6 more for a total cost of about $275, plus the gratuity. Which I will forward this to Dave Kral, MAC treasurer for an exact cost.

Phil told me that we could do this party there for $500.00 for an approximate 75 people. We had about 65 at this last party.
And that if more showed up, he would have to add on to that cost. We would have all the drinks we need, folk's could BYOB, pizza or what ever else we would like. We wouldn't have to do any cleaning. PARKING is enough for maybe 200 cars. [sorry, not big enough for a autox]
