Anyone have a recommendation for a place to rebuild a manual tranmission for a 91 Toyota MR2 Turbo?

I assume this means you won't be doing it yourself on the coffee table (like one person I know).

My coffee table is a special spring-loaded type which adjusts instantly from coffee to dining height. It has snap-strut dropleafs and is reputed to be among the first items made with Formica, back around 1948, when my parents scraped enough together to buy it.

I won't be putting any car parts on it.

I was hoping someone had an answer for him, as I want to solve my popping outta second problem this year too, although I theorize it could be a simple as a shift linkage problem.

A rally driver's shop is doing a rebuild for me soon (although might just put in a whole new tranny) he does good work on subarus and is reasonably priced (works out of a full shop in Buffalo, MN). Unsure about expereince w/ other stuff, but may be worth checking out. PM me if you want further details.

Yep. Mike Wray.

If anyone has any tranny work he's the one i'd recommend. Has done a ridiculously good job on my difficult to work on frankentransmission so far, and at a very reasonable price.

My roomates friend at work rebuilds transmissions on the side. I'm sure he would do it for around $200 or so(labor)
