Chuck B, Randy W

Ive got a rub on the right rear, only in hard left handers. 15x7, 195/50/15 with a drop of .5" to 1". Not sure, I know they're eibach springs. Does the fender need to be rolled or is it rubbing the strut?
Any info is appreciated

I had the same issue on my '91 SER with 15x7's with 205/50R15 Kuhmo's.

The car had stock suspension. Randy had a simular size tire and he had to roll the rear fender lips to avoid the problem. If you look closely at the fire you should be able to find where it is rubbing.

Good Luck

Thanks Steve,

I've been looking, and I can't tell if its hitting the inside of the fender at the top of the sidewall, there doesnt seem to be any scuffs or unusual marks.
Do you remember any detail about the size of the pipe/piece used to roll the fenders?

Btw - I swear to god this car is faster through sweepers than my m car. It could be the front drive vs rear feel that im getting, but it seems to be way more fun to drive.

Jeff,

Try a baseball bat. I used that on my GTI last year and it worked great.

I'm suprised that the SER is good in the sweepers. The GSR I drive pushes
like crazy on the sweepers up at Saint Cloud. It must be the LSD on front.

Good luck with the SE-R.

yup jeff, you have to basicly flatten the fender lip up against the inner fender
I started the process with a visegrips, carefully bending the lip up and inward, but finally wound up beating it with a heavy deadblow hammer(rubber with BBs in it)
then I gave it a crappy respray
