I'm attending the BMW Advanced Driving School at BIR next weekend. I need to get my WRX tech inspected in advance, but I'm reluctant to take it to a Subaru dealer while it's under warranty. Any Subaru-specific recommendations?

I don't know any Subaru specific shops, but i bet SpeedLab could do the check out. They do plenty of work on STIs and Evos, plus they track their cars often.

Sears Imports ran a tech inspection for the BMW club a few weeks ago; I went since I thought I was going to do BIR but now it looks like I won't be there.

Anyway, maybe they will still do the inspection for you. They aren't too familiar with Subarus but the stuff they check is pretty general. You'll need to bleed the brakes before the event if you haven't recently, make sure you have decent pad depth and I think at least 3/32" for tires.

Orr Autosport is the offical shop for the NorthStar BMW Club. Give them a call and get your car Teched before next week otherwise they will not let you run at the event.

Goodluck and see you at BIR.

I wish I was going. :( The MR2 likes smooth tracks.

there are no subaru specific speed shops in town. There are quite a few privateers, but no official shop that has a reputation for doing imprezas.
