I'm thinking "no". If the rules don't say you can do it, you can't. I'm open to education by anyone who can quote a rule.

Nope, not legal. FWIW - the top CSP guys typically REMOVE all the subframe bracing to save weight, versus add more bracing. With a CSP car's light weight and relatively limited horsepower, the extra bracing doesn't appear to help (at least for autocross).
