I am new here. I've done a couple of autocrosses but they were a few years ago. I am looking to get into some driving events and in addition to an occasional track day thought autocrossing might be fun too.

My questions concern track set up. If I recall correctly I ran a couple of times with the Corvette Club at Raceway Park and once at Elko Speedway. The courses seemed fairly tight but that is probably because I was trying to autocross a '72 Chevelle. Not exactly the picture of precise handling. The Chevelle and I have since parted company and I now play with an '86 Porsche 911 instead. Would your courses be well-suited to my car?

How does one get involved? Can I just show up and register? Is there an event schedule laid out yet for next season?

You can just show up and register if you like. I think your 911 will be much better suited for this kind of play than your Chevelle! Most people do quite well with their 911's.

Watch for announcements on our Novice school coming up this spring. Even though you've done it before, you may want to take this in as it offers a lot of information on event operation and rules, as well as giving you a chance to "break in" your 911 at a closed session with ride along instructors. Contact me privately if you have any questions. Welcome, and hope to see you this Spring!
