I recently acquired a little 3-liter Honda two seater and it's time to enjoy exploring its potential. I found the MAC application form on this site and sent it in with the registration fee. The form still said 2002, but I presume it's still valid, correct? I also presume the $20 fee is still current, since I didn't see any messages indicating a price hike.

Just out of curiosity, what was the result of the vote on eliminating Street Tire classes at the January meeting?

Looking forward to meeting all of you,
Dave

MAC has not voted yet on the issue of street tires. We will at the next club meeting.

Either way, it would be nice to see an NSX at a MAC event :)

Welcome Dave! If you've never Autocrossed before, I would like to suggest you check out the annual MAC Novice School being held this Spring. We don't have dates yet, but we should know sometime in February. The school is usually held in late April or May. It includes an indoor class and a parking lot track day with instructors.

The only requirement, aside from the $35 tuition, is that you let a certain instructor drive your car! (Just kidding...see you this Spring.) Watch for details on the MAC home page.

Thanks for all the offers to help drive my car :sarc . Actually, I have autocrossed before, but that was long, long ago on a planet far, far away (well, okay, the Kansas City area). I do plan to attend the Novice School and will be watching for information on the schedule.

I'm not totally averse to sharing rides either. :D

Hey Dave. If you've auto-xed before you might want to look into the Evolution I school that is also going to be offered. I took it last year and I learned a ton. There are some details on the mnautox home page. It costs a little more but its worth evey penny. :D

Josh (waiting for spring}

I would not recommend doing this! If you do, take a quick check afterwards to make sure there are no cone marks in your paint! :D Be sure to remind him he is in a CAR with STREET tires!

Just kidding, Pat! :p

Boy, you take someone for an "interesting" ride once, and you get beat up over it for life! :)

There are spots open for Phase 1 Evolution still. If you have autocrossed before, this is a great mechanism to get you to the next level of performance. Contact me with any questions.
