im just wondering if using the snell 2000 helmets for next year will be fiesable, i am looking into getting a new helmet for next season(an open faced one)

From my understanding they are good for 7 years. So that would be fine till 2007.

Why not wait a month or two and get a Snell 2005 helmet?

that was what i was thinking, but i wasnt sure if it was out yet

The 2005 standards will go into effect on October 1st.

I'm in the same boat as you. I really want a new helmet (Arai GP Jet), but I want to wait until I can get one with a Snell 2005 certification so I don't have to worry about getting another for at least 10 years.

Snell 2k will be good till 2010 as a helmet (Snell rating)is legal for 10yrs but as as Alex say's why not just buy a 2005 snell and be good for 10yrs.
Mark you or any of your brothers ever tried to contact the club in that year or so ;)
