Lee,
What time do we get in?
Answered in next post (Thanks Shane)
We can be there by 7:00, is that early enough for course setup?
If that is then put down

Sign up Scott Perkinson for course setup. So if I get there @ 6:30am and do course setup, I'm free from working for the day, right/ :D

That's the way it CAN/should work, but if there aren't enough entrants to cover all stations during the event you may be asked to help or knowing you you may even pitch in without being asked....

Assistant tech guy lackie ready and willing SIR!
(John Mensch)
Sorry Scott it doesn't get you out a a work assignment during the event.
We (MAC) can use all the help in getting things set up so we can start earlier.
Helping setup the course does give you a good close look at the course ;)
So let me know if you still want to help.

I'll still do it. If I can do course setup and tech (which gets you out of a during event work assignment, per my understanding), then sign me up for both. If not, I'll just do course setup.

uhhh... Is that just for this event? I was under the impression that volunteering did count as a work assignment. Folks working registration confirmed that for me at more than 1 event this year.
see the bottom of the first post:

Not trying to get out of anything.... glad to help. Just want to be clear of the expectations.
Thanks.

Andy Winters - general or course set-up, whichever winds up needing more help.
Ivan
That's weird as it's always been that you still need to work your heats time to work. Valley Fairs always setup the day before which let you out because you drive out the day before and work. We always need cone pickers plus it's a good way to see how the fast people are going thru the corners.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up.

Hey DCM, what time do you have to leave Ham lake to get there at O-dark thirty (O630)???
'O' Dark thirty!
Or is it, Oh, dark thirty?
Takes about 1 hour, or maybe just a little less.
Speakin' of helping out..........
When does the work stop?
Answer; when the trailer is finally put away in storage at the end, I mean the end of the day.
Well when does it start?
Answer; during monthly meetings when planning, sort of...........
The real answer, it never stops!

Lee, tossed my name on the list for novice walk. I'll PM you some cell #'s- Nancy and I are in Brainerd for the week, she'll be dropping me off in St Cloud sometime sat. a.m. Give me a call on the cells to discuss how we want to handle the novice walk/ride/jog/whatever at this site. If you want to PM me an evening phone for you, I can try to call from the cabin on a real phone if the cells don't work up there.

I can work any of the three open jobs that you would assign a new person to. I have been to events of three other organizations, just not this one. What time should I be there and do we get to go out on the track before the event starts? Regardless, glad to help.

7:00-7:30 depending on what you have to do to your car before you start helping...
The goal is to have all volunteers have time to walk the course at least once, if you do registration they usually cut one loose at a time after the initial rush so you'll have time...
Thanks for the AM help on your first time with us!!!
Paul
Thanks Ganseg just show up and ask what you can do.
btw what's your name?
