I found this link to the SCCA Houston region's web site that has maps of the courses they've used in the past. It makes interesting brain food for those thinking of Event Mastering this season....

The SCCA has long had a "Solo 2 Course Design" handbook (I'm not sure if thats the EXACT title but it's close) and it's excellent reading! The more reading you do, the less chance to make a mistake in design. Not that there's been mistakes in design recently. We barely have enough room to make a real mistake! Ahhh,,,Canterbury..THERE you could REALLY screw up a course design! Seriously, if I knew it would actually happen, I'd PAY each event master/course designer to read the SCCA guide. DG.

The guide to Solo2 courses was written by The Real Roger Johnson (not The Famous Roger Johnson, who was at MOWOG 1 last year) Roger The Real is a Houston-Region guy these days (he used to be in Seattle), and it is a good bet that he designed most of the courses which are on the aforementioned website. Roger has designed many of the Solo2 Nationals courses.
He's sneaky and underhanded in fooling the unwary into taking a bad line and hurting their times, but he won't let you do anything dangerous and he won't get you lost. This is well in line with my philosophy that autocross ought to be easy to do and difficult to master.
You can reach Roger at rjohnson@ghg.net Tell him I said "hey".
