Mowog 6 is Sunday July 24th (four days and counting) at Central Parking
Downtown St Paul

Just wanted to update Participants.

We will run 3 run groups
(so there will be break times)

We will have a TEMPORARY Grid
(when you arrive you will be directed to paddock a little farther away from
the trailer BUT this will eliminate long marshaling lines)

Paddock and Grid will be 2 different areas
(thus the word temporary)

There will be a couple of areas to park trailers and tow vehicles
(These will be near the trailer - we want to have paddock for autox
vehicles)

Dwight will have the trailer on site Saturday
(setup will start early Sunday- hopefully this will help us start runs early)

Preregistration seems to have helped Registration & Tech

Tech seems to be running quick with most helmets and some cars pre-approved.

Dwight will also have water BUT please come prepared
(it is JULY it may be hot and sunny bring drink, sunscreen, etc.)

There will NOT be any food service on site
(again be prepared bring what you need)

With the great help of club members I expect to get things running
ASAP to get the most out of the day.

Come prepared - Early - expect to have fun and lets be safe

Please sign up on the volunteers list if you haven't already done so.

Thanks Jonathan

Theres a BK right down the street that makes good Angus burgers. Are we going to have time during our break for a BK run?

There will be 3 run groups of approx. 40 cars each.

This should give 45 min to 1hr breaks between your work and run sessions.

There's also a Subway 1-2 miles from the site.

Are we gonna be able to hear times through the radio this time?

Jonathan, with regards to leaving the site for breaks.... will everything be set up to allow the flow of cars during the event? Thanks.

The flow of traffic should move smoother with the temporary grid.
You shouldn't have to pass a line (or 2) of cars waiting to make their runs.

Cars will be off to the side in the grid
(at most there will be 2 or 3 cars in the marshalling lane,
not the 30 - 40 typically in line)

Note:
There may be one way roads on the upper deck

Look at it this way - the sticky tires will work GREAT.

Hey Jonathan,

How many worker stations do you want on course? I'll print off worker signup sheets, but need to know how many stations to include.

Thanks!

-Steve

p.s. I'll figure out the class breakdowns for each heat Saturday night, when I have as close to a final driver list as possible.

I attempted to go to this event today but somehow got fouled up on the location. Reading it was in a parking lot in the 7 Corners area, I drove down there and figured I would see the cars from the street, or hear some tires screeching, or catch the smell of blue smoke drifting through the neighborhood. Not a trace. After driving around for a while I parked on 7th near to Walnut St. and walked all over, finally ending up in a great antique shop. I thought I was going nuts (not an unfamiliar state). So, was the event moved? Was it in a subterranean garage, or what? Where did I go wrong? :(

Ah, that's better. This page at the Met Council of Sports Car Clubs puts it at Central Parking which they locate on Walnut St. and 7th. http://www.met-council.org/calendar.html It seemed like a strange place, considering all the hospitals nearby. Oh well, next time I'll double check the location. Thanks.

I think you entered WEST Kellog instead of EAST Kellogg. Event is on EAST Kellogg.
