What class would a stock Vw Corrado G60 be in? I don't see it in the Car Class list. Thanks.

GS
look under VW (not Volkswagen) at the following website:

Don't you already have a 318 BMW? Of the two, the 318 is the better autocrosser. A 318 was third at nationals in GS and first in E36 form in HS. Corrados are decent, but a VR6 model would probably be a better choice anyhow.

BMW 318 cars on sticky tires have an excellent record of winning in Stock. They also have a record of inverted operation in Stock. Be careful out there.

Speaking as someone who's had one on two, I can say Phil speaks the truth! They are drivable safetly and quickly, but it takes some experience and the right technique. Bob Clark in Milwaukee is a master at it, and I still see a little daylight under his rears every now and then. I would still rather AX one of those instead of a Corrado. Even better, do a little suspension prep like RDub's, and you have a killer STS car that is much safer.
Probably the most sucessfull Corrado I've seen was Jason Siani's from two years ago. (He runs a Honda S2000 now) He met with limited success in what was GS at the Pro's and Tours, and he's definately an "A" class national driver. I could hook you up if you want setup advice.

I have only test driven a E30 but I would guess they would be a better starting point. If I remember the Corrado is built on the same A2 platform that my '91 GTI is built on. Even with H&R race springs the car is always 3 wheeling and it has been on 2 wheels once. The car does handle great though.
If you are planning on selling the 318 let me know. I might know someone that is interested.

I wasn't asking for me, I was asking for a friend. We looked at the G60 and it was a little too rusty for him. And NO, I am NOT selling my car. I'm just getting use to it, and I like the 318is so far. But if I ever want to sell it I'll post it. Thanks for the link anyways.

I don't blame you on not wanting to sell the 318. I would
love to find a nice E30 325is, but the pickings are slim.
Then again I don't really need a third car. 2 VW's is
enough.
