Is there an entry number limit for MOWOG II? We're up to 118, and I remember #1 had a limit of 150.......

I think the limit is 120 or so.

The entry limit is 120, and that's a hard cap. None of our other sites can handle the number of cars Valleyfair is able to support, so we have different entry limits for each venue - based on their capacity.

Note: MOWOG 2 is full. The waiting list is here (http://forum.mnautox.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2422).

p.s. There are still plenty of spots open for the Saturday Test 'N Tune, and you'll get 16-20 runs on a 35 second course.

It looks like we may have to address this max entry stuff.SOON
There could be a lot of potential problems with folks just signing up for all the events and not showing, and people who want to race can't plan for running until the last minute if they forgot or couldn't get to a computer to sign up.
Also not to go after the "I run once newbie",but half way thru the season I sure think that the seasoned ,multi event runners should get first crack at the event spaces.

How about doing it like Milwaukee. Only MAC members can preregister.

I like that idea, unless everyone becomes a member

hey, on the east coast you have to preregister months in advance in some areas, so I don't see this area as having too much of a problem.

Also, no shows imo aren't a significant enough % to really complain about people preregistering. I think that on the whole, most of the people who pre register show up.

People registering and not showing up is not my complaint.
My possible issue is that long time MAC racers
who are serious about points but may not always be able to preregister
will lose the chance to race, and not make there required events.
And lose out to a "one time" racer who can get to his or her computer easier

You can pre-register for all the events at once and assure yourself of a spot. If, when it gets closer to the event, you discover you can't make it, back out and release the entry.

Given that ALL MOWOG events are currently open for registration and we're not requiring pre-payment, MAC "regulars" really have no excuse for not getting into an event. I think it took me a total of 5 minutes to pre-register for all 8 MOWOG events. I encourage regular participants to do the same. Until our no-show rate gets higher than the current 10-15%, I don't think we need to change the current process.

For reference, there are currently 49 pre-registered for MOWOG 3 and 35 pre-registered for MOWOG 8. So there's plenty of remaining space in the events past MOWOG 2.
