I know my car will fall into AS. The last autocross I watched had cars running AS and AST. I assuming AST is street tire.
I am running on Michelin PS2s so would it be better for me to run in AST? I am pretty sure I won't be to competive in this class (only autocrossed a handfull of times). But I really need to learn how to drive this beast.

Erik,
With street tires, it will be pretty tough going against the Evo's & STi's on R-compound tires. The Street Tire Index class probaby makes the most sense for you. When registering, just select AS for the Base Class, then Street Tire Index for the Optional Index Class.

running in SI might help your ego a bit
(unless you have already been kicked out) :D

I have raced a few times in the past so I will stay out of SI.
Steve, thanks for "checking the bylaws" for me!

So what letters do I put on the side of the car?

Erik,
Anyone can run in SI until they win in it & get the SI trophy for the day, not saying you have to but it is still an option if you haven't won in it yet.
I'm looking forward to seeing your car in action. Let me know if you ever want to do the co-driver thing (both drivers drive each others cars, twice as much seat time, pay two fees, 2X fun...). It'd have to be mid season though as the car won't be ready & sorted til then.

Oh yeah the car I'm offering is a D Street Prepared Sprite, only 95 HP, but under 1400 pounds & nimble so it should be fun...

I will have to wait for a while on the M Coupe. I haven't let any of my friends drive the car yet, but by the middle of the season I might be up for a little co driver action. Your ride sounds like a lot of fun.
This sure is going to be a lot more fun than the company Grand Prix that I ran a couple of years ago.
