anybody in town have some Formula Vee Traction Treatment, or any other brand?
I'd like to get something resembling traction out of these hard R1 tires at the last MOWOG next week.

If you can make the trip to Wausau, I wil give you some of mine! For anyone who wants to know, this stuff *will* make an old "tired" tire better. I replaces the lost solvents and oils that help rubber compounds to be soft. This stuff is lost to UV and ozone exposure. Treatment, in my experience takes at least a week. Treat every 24 hours with a thin, rolled on coating and let it soak in.
Does it make tires like new? Here's an example. I treated year old slicks for my Swift FF with this stuff this Spring. I applied it about 6 times, so they got a very good treatment. I ran the car in the morning and established a pretty good (and competitive) run time of say 49 seconds. For the next three runs I bolted on new Hoosier slicks. My times dropped to 47 seconds immediately. Read what you will into that, but had I not treated the older tires, my morning times would have been 52 or 53 for sure. At around 35 bucks a gallon, it can save you money depending on how competitive you want to be.
