Do we have to get a new one? Do we need special software/hardware to run it with our current system? If we do need a new one I will volunteer to look into it as long as someone knows the hardware/software requirements. I also have a suggestion about its actual display. Here it is:

"car #" "place in class" "elaped time (+ penalty time if any)" "# of cones hit (X for DNF)"

an example:
405 2 042.115 1

this means that car #405 is second in his/her class and got a 42.115 sec. time including the penalty for the 1 cone he/she hit. Sound good?

Josh,

We are working with the developer of our software to create a driver for our display. We can order new ones that our already working with our software. The problem is that new displays are a large portion of what our trailer is going to cost. It will come. Our software does have the capability to display multiple items.. but in a flashing mode, as in not all items can be displayed at once. there just isn't that many characters. Please look back at previous posts on the topic of our new timing system. for more answers to your questions.

Way too much information for a driver to be processing at the end of a run. Also, the penalty stuff can't be entered fast enough. If we are launching cars every 20 seconds, folks are going to pile up at the box.

Simple time straight off the timer. It runs hands-off for the timer folks and does not overload the driver's brain at a time that we need him to get the heck out of the way.
