If one of these is your Lotus, or your friend's Lotus, or the Lotus after
which you have always lusted, or you just can't live another day without
several pictures of my white Europa, I can email you a high-res image of the
full negative. They run about half a meg each. All I ask is that you give
me photo credit wherever you use it.

Thanks again to Tony and to LOONY for posting these images.

If you happen to have shots of me or other Minnesota LOONs and/or our cars,
for gosh sakes let me know!

Congratulations Phil! For anyone who doesn't know, LOG gathers enthuseasts from all over the country. It took a fine performance indeed for Phil to place third overall in this group! In lil' old Grace N Violence. She's looking very nice BTW...do I detect a new coat of paint on her? (Hard to tell from the pics from MOWOG VI)

I wish I could get over there to see in person. I am committed to Peru Indiana event next weekend for the last Cen-Div. Anyway, sounds like you had a great time. Nice job!

Thanks, Pat. Wait till you see the new coat of paint. Did you look at the LOG pics on Vacarros site, or just Spinne's MOWOG shot? The white Europa is indeed Grace. You can spot that she still has those "temporary" truck lights for front turn signals. Fastest autocrosser at LOG was Larry Shauf's E-mod, #46. Next was Jeff Ivers in the red Elan with the 9-inch wheels and number 67, which I photographed at speed at Blackhawk. Third was me, who got to run my own number seven, but did not have my "tape-on" magnetics, so I used the Salt Creek club's blue tape. Plastic tape, not the paper stuff we have.

Jeff and I were running in the same class, so he got a first-place trophy and I got the second-place trophy you see in the photo.

I still can't believe that I beat all those Elans and Sevens. Not to mention beating Jeremy Engel, who got a drive in an Esprit Turbo and won his class. Not a bad substitute for his laid-up MR2 Super. Jeremy was the fastest Esprit driver there, and his dad Tim was right behind in another Esprit Turbo, so they both got trophies, too.

The paint itself is Krylon. It was just to get the car all one color. No attempt was made to complete the bodywork.

I'll send you a high-res photo.
