It's on!
Sunday will be the endurance race.
Don't miss that one.
They have to change drivers near the middle of the event, or the driver has to get in and out of the car.
But it is very hard on cars and drivers, so they usually have two drivers.
Lots of action.
Don't miss it!:dancin:

I remember the Wisconsin Enduro in 1972. We had the rule that the driver had to get out, the door had to close, and open again, but it did not matter which driver got back in. I was sharing my street SAAB with Flip Shockley. We wound up with third in class, fourth overall . The reason we did so well is I always let Flip back into the car. When you have one of the best ice drivers in the history of the sport on your team, you'd be pretty stupid to take a shift yourself. I have the trophy right here.

I hope there's ice in heaven. Flip is probably giving lessons to Fangio and Clark.

Sue saw some ice-race newsfilm on KARE 11. I will attempt to record it on their overnight replay. She says it looked like a slush race.

So this coming weekend, they will be at Thunder Bay, Yes, Canada.
Eh?
Then on February 19 &20 Centervile. You know, Centerville, MN?
Then on the 26th & 27th at Balsam Lake WI. Very close to the Twinks.
The last one at Lake Milacs, Garrison MN.
Great fun even to watch. Maybe, just maybe we could get another ice rally cross?

Dwight,

Are you going to keep it a secret that, this last weekend, you actually got some seat time (behind the wheel) in a real ice racing car, on a real ice racing track?

OK, so I took a drive a week ago Friday afternon. Just to check out the ice, the track, where to go and so on. It's only 12 miles or so from my house, staright east on Co. Rd 14.
Two of my 'friends' were there. A Paul $$$ [can't member his last name] let me go for a ride with Matt B. One lap, then they stuck me in the drivers seat, and I went for 3 laps around the mile curcuit. Then came in and their other car needed a push start. So I followed that car for another lap. What fun!
It's very hard to keep the car pointed straight. But once into the turn, it really grips.
Now I want more!
Lines aren't at all like road racing though, and coming up to a turn, pitching the car to get it into a slide is very different.
Now lemme see here, if I could .........................?
