??????????
Weather looks good for Sunday in Waterloo.
Anybody interested in caravanning down to Waterloo from the Cities?
We usually meet at the Holiday Station by the McDonalds "McStop" in Lakeville @ 6:15 or so.
Chris B. --- Want to meet at that Ioway McDonalds again? What time?
Anyone up to trading drives?

Big possibility. How much is registration for this event? How late is it going to run?

$20 if SCCA, otherwise $25 (I think)
usually over between 3 & 3:30
Go for it---you know you want to AX one last time...

Yeah, I'm not working this weekend and I'm putting exhaust on my car on saturday. It'll be a good chance to see how annoying the drone is on road trips. :sarc

[car ****]
Paul- Need a chauffeur, or should I bleed the brakes on the "626 of Death" and show you how it's really done? ;)

Alex,
"Come on down" as the other Alex would say, I emailed you to see if you wanted to go
but I'm not sure if it got past your spam blocker. And YOU get to be the chauffeur on the way down & back :D :D
I'll call you tonite at the number you posted before & set up a pickup time.
You'll owe me a drive in the Miata next year...
I'm still looking for a driver trade, in the past I've had three drivers in it when Alex & I have driven down in the MINI.

I'm interested in co-driving. So we take I-35? Then I could just go right to school in Mankato on the way back. I'd join the caravan (of 2 cars?) on the way down though since I live like 1.5 miles from McStop.

Driver trade OK, I like your avatar --- maybe we can trade at an Ice Cross this winter too (Are Blizzaks enough?)

Chris,
Not sure we'll be there that early, usually I think we get there about 8:00 --- what's the rush this time? Can you wait for us?
Gspot.
6:30 at the Holiday OK?

Sounds good, Paul. Blizzak's will do fine on the ice, but FWD is quite a challenge. Unless you've got something else you're gonna bring.
I've got another set of numbers for my car that I can bring, do you have arrangements for throwing something on for me or are we just gonna grab a roll of tape and start making "1"s =)

I'll take care of the numbers for the MINI as I need three sets --- Alex, me & you --- in order of speed
:p :p :p
What is your car number?
They run low to high numbers so we need to space them out so we can drive both cars & work --- or we could make Alex work all the time as punishment for going fastest & being a car ****.
:p :p :p

Work the entire event as punishment for being the fastest? I think you're overestimating me. I need at least one run if I'm going the be stomping you. Unless, of course, that was your way of announcing your intent to DNF every run. ;)
I can bring my numbers with me if you want more of a selection to choose from. 1,8,4, and 6.

Paul,
8:00? Sure. That'll give me time to have some breakfast.
Alex,
I seem to recall owing you a ride from earlier in the season. You can run CS in my miata if you like.
Peace.

Alex,
Nah, you can have all your runs, I'm just whining cause you're faster in my car than I am (except for last time down in Iowa...). Please bring your numbers, I'm sure we'll use them.
Chris,
See you there about 8:00, I think it's about 1 1/2 hours from the Lakeville McStop to the Clear Lake McD's.

I have #s 187 and 900. They're solid placards, so they cant be rearranged.

187 and 900 could be next to each other as most will have low numbers
We could use 187 as 18 and 187 taping over the 7.
We need to get there and see what numbers are available (first come first serve...)

I think we all had a blast. I know I did. The course was awesome, and there were like 30 cars there, so we started at about noon and were done by 3 :D I think that was the earliest I've ever been home from Waterloo.
Chris and I both took a fun run in Jason Schultz's 90 (or 91) HS Civic Si. That car rocks. It doesn't slalom or brake like a Mini, but it pretty much does everything else as well or better. It has awesome steering, just like my old CRX :D

I agree:
Great course, I also used Pat W's tyre pressure advice --- the MINI doesn't push as much now, it went faster and boy it was fun. Also fun not to be the slowest in my car or when running against those pesky Neons...
A great end to the season
Paul
End of Season???
Nah there is an event in Kansas City on Nov 7th, anyone up for it?
