im new to auto cross and need information to race my miata at the upcoming event at midway stadium.what do i do?Do i need to join the club first?

How do I receive a number to put on the side of my car?

You don't need to become a member to go to events, but you do get discounts for doing so. This is technically an SCCA event, so you would have to get an SCCA membership to get the discount. You would be assigned a number if you don't have one, or you can reserve a number by looking at the permanent number update thread in General Discussion and talking to Phil Ethier. Met Council numbers are a dollar per year to reserve.
