I remember talking to Jon the Owner of the White 924 about the cam gear that he uses. If memory serves it was an automatically adjusting unit that operated similar to a weighted distributor. he also pointed me towards the web site for them. this however was before I went to boot camp and I have since lost the address. does anyone have any Idea what I'm talking about?
Thank you in (vacuum assisted) advance.

Yes, I have one in my car too.
Franco industries automatic cam sprocket. Automatically retards then advances the cam timing.
$300, no longer produced.
I dynoed before and after. Itmade 20 lbs of torque on the dyno and broadened the power band by 1700 RPM.

I'm sorry to hear that, are they still available anywhere or are they on a used only basis now?

Yes, if you want to buy 25 of them, then they will be made.
I like mine. Gives lots of power... unfortunatly my Porsche has run so aweful all year that I have been driving the crappy Saturn (nothing against Saturn's)
