A coworker of mine just passed this on and says he occasionally gets things through the groupon site, so it looks not to be shady.

One thing I'm curious about is the any car bit. My miata doesn't have a cage, so I wonder if it would actually be allowed. Maybe I'll ask BIR.

best to ask BIR, they have been fairly lax on a lot of things, not sure if convertibles are one of them.

BIR has rules about specific convertibles. Give Gary a call and find out for sure.

Unfortunately your car doesnt have the minimum requirement of roll hoops. the new rule allows convertables such as S2000's, TT's and Boxters which have roll hoops but excludes all other convertables. I had many conversations with Gary Curtis about this issue. It was basically agreed upon by the instructors as a group. Even so, it doesn't hurt to call and talk to them.

After thinking it over a bit, I've decided that I'm not all that comfortable about the idea of being on a track in a convertible without a cage, even if they would allow it. Heck of a good deal, though.
