OK...I guess it's that time of year!!!!!!! We need volunteers for the Novice schools. Looking for 15 to 18 instructors to keep the student / instructor ratio in the sweet spot.

If you have instructed in the past, please post here if you can make one, both, or the other.

If you have not instructed in the past, send me a PM if you want to participate.

As always, instructor only are allowed about a hour demonstration session where you will take students for a happy fun ride in their own car. :) I also need someone to arrange and transport lunch to the site. Anyone is allowed, no...encouraged, to show up even if they are not instructing. We always need a little help with coaching corner working, working in timing and scoring, and just showing up to cheer on our group.

Pat,

I'll be there to instruct at both schools.

You can put me down for course setup as well (I think I could set that course up in my sleep by now :p ).

If you are a student in the school, I am going to tell you the same thing that Jim McKamey told me at my first McKamey School: Don't do any club stuff today, we want you fully involved in the school.

Seriously. Whether you are driving, working the course, riding with an instructor or munching on a sandwich in a lunch-time discussion period, you are soaking up information and experience. We can call on you for culinary tasks at some other time. ;)

If, on the other hand, you are volunteering to help with food at the April school, that's different. Check with Jody to see how you can help.

I will be there until about 2pm so anything that needs done. I guess I will attempt timing setup. That could be interesting I will attend timing PHD on Sat so I will know more than I do now.

see Post 20. Jody was the first to volunteer for food, so I thought she was coordinating it. I didn't catch the "prior PM" bit.

Ahhhh...I totally blew that. Sorry Jody. Or Nick (Plus I cannot tell sometimes who is logged on...your screen name is njbed...that could be Nick or Jody. Help me out folks...please use your names.)

Can either of you do it for the June school? I really appreciate you both stepping up, but now I have 2 in April and none in June. Anyone else for June? Plus, there's no reason 2 can't do it...makes it a lot easier!

I should be able to do June but I'm not 100% sure I will be available. We can plan on it for now though. I will be there in April so what ever needs done I can help with.

Pat, put me down for timing setup both days.
i can do food if it comes down to it, but i'd really prefer someone else... i'll have enough gear to try and stuff into the subaru with all the timing gear before i try and stack food on top of it.

Somehow I missed this thread!

Put me down for the June school. SoloPro asked for a last-minute instructor the weekend of the first school, and it looks like you've got plenty of help already.

Not sure about Katie...perhaps she'll actually check the board someday. But you can probably hit her up 24x8 on Facebook...that's how I usually get in touch with her.

Thanks for the free pass on work, Phil. I figured most of the food work would fall outside of school time and didn't see anybody else volunteering. If nobody else can do it I'm still willing to pick up the grub and turn it over to someone else for distribution at the event.
