for some reason ebay links don't seem to work.
or is it just me?

The reason is because the bulletin board software parses the ampersand and turns it into & in the link, thereby killing all eBay links. Just delete the amp; from the & after getting the error and the link will work.

I think that's pretty brain-dead software. As a non-computer-professional, I don't know enough to understand why that would ever be a good idea.

When posting a URL, I will try to remember to de-check the box "Automatically parse URLs".

I can't test this theory now on my lunch hour with this URL, since my employer has blocked ebay.
