I know there are at least two interpretations, but would like official clarification.

If person "A" purchases a season long membership and can't make Event "1" does he/she forfeit the registration for that event? I know you can't "sell" it, but I've heard different opinions on whether you can "donate" the registration to a friend.

Honestly if the intent is to not be able to sell it then donating should be also be out of the question.

The intent of the rule was to insure the purchaser of a season pass had the intent to attend all of the events. The board didn't want events sold out due to season passes and spots only available for sale at the last minute. The season pass works as intended.

Agreed that a season pass works. But still haven't heard officially what happens to an unused spot.

If I were EMing, I'd leave it registered until that person misses registration, then one more spot opens up on the waiting list.

At MOWOG 1, Jocelin couldn't make it. I had a friend co-drive with me and we had him purchase a separate entry. That was my understanding of the season pass. I have heard of alternate interpretations. I wanted to hear the official policy and get clarification that it is 100% non-transferable rather than just non-saleable.

The rule as posted last year was non-transferable, not non-saleable. (For the reasons Jody pointed out earlier).

That was the way I understood it to work- use it or loose it.

That's the way I understood it to work also. I had a full season registration last year. If I knew I couldn't attend a MAC event due to going to an NCCC event on the same day, I would notify the MAC registrar in advance, so my registration could be removed and another spot could be sold for the day.

Will there be a season registration this year? Thinking that we had already heard about it by this time in previous years, but not seeing anything yet on the fourm.

We posted the forms about this time last year, but the Board hasn't actually voted to extend the program yet. I'll see if we can discuss online & get something posted in the nest few days.
