MAC doesn't, but several area clubs have events at BIR.

...and I'm sure I missed a few.
You can always check the calendar here (http://www.brainerdraceway.com/) to find organizations who are sponsoring lapping/HPDE events.

Most will accept registrations from non-members. However, many of the clubs require you attend a driving school prior to open lapping. Most of the clubs offer the requisite school.

Suburban Corvettes of Minnesota has two Drivers' School/Lapping days this year. Both are Monday events. I think one is in May and one in September. Check the web site Steve listed. For your first day at the tack, they will have you do the Drivers' School. You'll have some class time, some brakeing exercises, some instruction riding around the course, some laps with instructors in the car, and by the end of the day some lapping on your own. Assuming you successfully complete the course, you can just do the lapping portions for following events. You will probably get something in the neighborhood of at least two full hours on the track in the school, and even more when you do the lapping.
Corvettes of Minnesota does not hold any events at BIR--come join us for events at DCTC.
Both clubs welcome non-Corvettes to their speed events, as well as many of their other events (rally, show, etc.).

There were maybe five of us together at the spring BMWCCA weekend last year, which was a lot of fun. I don't know if MAC should organize anything, but it'd be fun to coordinate more of our members for a good event or weekend there.

I'd love to do one of these but I'm not sure I'm comfortable on a track insuranceless :(

MAC has in the past done track days (MAC does BIR), but it is really outside our normal schtick and we have more than enough to keep us busy with autocrossing.
As others have noted, there are plenty of clubs using BIR and BIR has its own program as well. MAC membership has no effect on your eligibility for these events.

I've never done an event with them, but I've heard the Corvette guys are really cool. Even if you have a crappy fwd.

I have been there with www.northstarbmw.org and with BIR performance. Lockton offers insurance. For $100 I had 3 days coverage on two driver for a $12000 car. When you register on Northstar, you jump to MotorsportReg and there are descriptions of the insurance and what evenst are covered.
